The sights at Merdeka Square, Kuala Lumpur - Day 2 in Malaysia

After going to Batu Caves, we decided to get a let the rain stop first as it would have been difficult to go around and take pictures with the rain and all. It was already past 4PM when we felt it was okay to go out and head to our next destination which was Merdeka Square. We were supposed to go here after our visit to Chinatown on our first day but we eventually forgot so we decided to push through the next day.

Climbing up Batu Caves! - Day 2 in Malaysia

I was pretty excited to see more of Malaysia on my second day. After exploring Chinatown and seeing the Petronas Twin Towers, I was starting to like the city! Batu Caves was out first destination for the day, though not exactly part of Kuala Lumpur, but we went to see it as it was very close to KL.

Day to Night at Petronas Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur - Day 1 in Malaysia

One of Malaysia's famous icons is the Petronas Twin Towers and has been one of a traveler's top priority places to visit while in Kuala Lumpur. Petronas used to be the world's tallest skyscraper for the duration of 1998 and 2004. Since then, there have been a number of buildings that have surpassed it on the list. This did not prevent us from visiting this from seeing these towers with our own eyes and we even planned to see it on different times of the day.

A walk around KL's Chinatown - Central Market, Petaling St, Sultan St, Guan Di and Sri Mahamariamman Temple - Day 1 in Malaysia

My friends call me an expert on booking promo flights. I was able to book flights going to Malaysia via Air Asia for less than 650 pesos. How nifty! I later found out that they were cancelling the Kota Kinabalu-Clark route which I have previously booked. After tons of calls and emails via their customer support, I was able to have my money refunded on the cancelled flight. I am not sure if I will be flying through Air Asia again because of that. So anyway, I ended up booking a more expensive flight (Singapore-Manila), no thanks to Air Asia, since I decided to push through with the trip regardless of what happened.

Me and my friend decided to Couchsurf, because sincerely, I love traveling and meeting locals at the same time. We planned to travel through 8 days to Malaysia and 3 days in Singapore. We didn't have an itinerary since it was a very busy time at the office so what we did during our trip was to ask our hosts for recommendations and if we had time, look for something in the Internet.

Korean Food Galore at Don Day Fresh, Timog (Review)

Me and my mom usually love to look for restaurants that offer good food at a cheap price however,  these two don't usually go together. So one time, my mom has heard from a friend about a place that offers Korean food buffet near Caloocan and I got curious when she told me about it. I researched about it and found about the restaurant called Don Day in Quezon City. I invited my family and friends to go there and try, which were soon followed by more and more visits.

Lia's Cakes for all seasons! - Kapitolyo Foodtrip Chapter 3

I could not live without sweets. Seriously. I love desserts and can not pass off a meal without having one. There is a certain restaurant in Kapitolyo that I frequent for their delicious cakes for a very affordable price. I'll give you a hint: one of their trademark products is Avocado cake. Yes, I am talking about no other than Lia's Cakes in Season!

Poco Deli, Happy Food equals Happy Life! - Kapitolyo Foodtrip Chapter 2

Next off for our Kapitolyo Foodtrip series is Poco Deli. I have been to the place a couple of times already and it always is a big hit to us. Poco Deli is famous for its sausages, cakes and wines and because of that, is always jam-packed especially during nighttime. My latest dining experience was no exception. We had no option but to be seated outside the resto, good thing after a couple of minutes, a table for two opened up inside. It would have been a good idea to make a reservation first before going here.
